When You Wear A Mask Poem by Randy McClave

When You Wear A Mask

When you wear a mask
You are saying I love and I care for my family,
And then when people ask
You will say it with pride and honesty.
Yes, a mask I do wear,
Because for my God given family I care.

When you wear a mask
You are saying I respect and I worry for my neighbors,
And it was such an easy task
For your kind and caring labors.
Yes, I proudly wear a mask for them,
Because of me, I don't want their life to be sickly or grim.

When you wear a mask
You are saying I love my doctors and the nurses,
In their knowledge you will basque
So, you give them thanks and never curses.
Yes, I wear a mask constantly,
Because, my doctors and nurses worry and care about me,

When you wear a mask
You are saying I love my country and my state,
And to the sadden ones who unmask
You are very sad and worried for their fate.
Yes, I proudly wear a mask here in the USA,
Because, I want everyone healthy, well and okay.
