When The Snow Melts What Does It Become? Poem by Marcus McKinley

When The Snow Melts What Does It Become?

The embodiment of tranquility
Warming in the sun
striding toward perfection
like lovers on the run

a memory of winter days
reflecting thoughts of you
glistening on blades of grass
new like morning dew

a refreshing pool of yearning thoughts
in a glass lifted to soft lip
a toast to your inner beauty
waiting to be sipped
