When I'M Gone Poem by Siya The poet

When I'M Gone

I live..
I breathe..
I carry on..
But you never know
When my last breath
Has come and gone
WIll you even notice
The empty seat
At school and at home
Or will you leave me in peace
All alone...
Will you remember my laughter
My jokes, my talks
Or even my thoughts
Or will you do the unexpected
Forget all about me
Just shrug me off
Will you shed a single tear
For me
When I'm gone
Or will you hide your feelings
And tell others to stay strong
Not many will remember me
Let alone miss me
Yet I'd remember you all
And though I'm not there anymore
I'll help you up
When ever you fall
I did ask for more
WHile life remained within me
Dying of suffocation
Yet, what all I did have
Was truly beyond my expectation
I didn't get what I wanted
I got what I needed the most
And yet, I complained
Oh! There are things that I'd change
So many apologies
So many 'thank you's
So many hello's still remain...
