When I Die Poem by Keagan Meyer

When I Die

Dear God, to you I give my soul
when earth has beaten down my frame
and age makes dust and me the same
and life has taken the final toll

I'll come running back to you
though life has led me from your path
you still loved me and stayed your wrath
my good works far and few

When the circle is complete
and breath has left my lungs
when I am complete and done
I'll bow down at your feet

A lovely write; nice job! I've posted a poem with a similar theme - it's entitled 'For Your Review'.
