When I Am Wrong Poem by Hebert Logerie

When I Am Wrong

Rating: 5.0

When I am wrong
I read a few psalms
Afterwards I sing a song
The criminal who roams
The street
Deserves to be put in jail
Tout de suite
Later on, his friends will bail
Him out. Rich prisoners
Wear braces. They have lawyers
To fight for them
While poor people are incarcerated
Like slaves. That's a shame
The judicial system is lopsided
There is no justice
That's why, there's no peace
When I am wrong
I pray, I repent
And I sing a song
Because I'm not a serpent
I have a conscience
And that's not nonsense.
