What You Have Poem by Lyn Paul

What You Have

Rating: 4.8

Respect
What You have
For it will not be there
Forever

She who carried you
In her womb
He who planted

We who love you
Who fed you
Clothed you
Gave you all

Made you who
Who you are today

Life is a gift
We must all contribute
A piece of ourselves
To appreciate and accept
What lies ahead

So respect
Every little piece
Of
What you have

For it will NOT!
Be there forever

Wowwww! The issues I have there.... and yet you are so right. Dichotomies and self deceptions and denials... yet still they are there. (((endless hugs)))

Life is a gift! ! So, let us live in peace with each other. Nice peace of work.

Very sweetly you said the fact about our life, Lyn. This is a mortal life, at any time it may end. Hence, we have to be happy with whatever we have with us and we should not do any harm to others, because, not to forget - they also are mortal. Thanks for sharing

Yes, love and value what we have today.... they might not be with us the whole life time! Our parents who did so much to make us what we are today, may or may not be with us now! Love and respect them or keep their memory alive with a grateful heart! So sweetly put Lyn!

Very beautifully and completely said, life is precious and so is respect. Enjoy your gifts today for tomorrow will be too late. But unfortunately, we do not respect each other, if we did there would be no wars, and unfortunately there are too many. Wonderful models to follow in this poem, thank you Lyn.
