What Will I Be Remembered For Poem by Bernard Onoja

What Will I Be Remembered For

Rating: 2.9

Born today like a leaf that buds from a tree. Gone tomorrow as the night. Yet forgotten in this big wide world of possibilities, failing to leave the slightest prints on the sands of time.

Can one be so indifferent, walking with the eyes closed? An attitude that many are guilty of, their signature in this life of bitterness and sweetness.

Angels on guard, ever ready to do our bidding only if we give the order. A credit in our favor, the easiest way of putting smiles on a sad face.

Should i be disinterested when someone’s world is crashing? A mistake! A mistake! For no man is an island, as we need one another to complete the puzzle of life.

In retrospect, who do you remember? Good, bad memories of those who have impacted our lives. A positive impact is like a soothing balm for the ailing heart. Therefore let us be remembered for good.
