Enemy Of Man Poem by Bernard Onoja

Enemy Of Man

Rating: 2.7

You reap harvests in tens of millions. As you leave behind regrets and shattered dreams. HIV the culprit, AIDS its manifestation. Campaign against you a charade of some sort.

Even when the other masquerades of death exist. You stand out, tall among others. Stealth and ever sure of your ability, In this wide world of dreams.

With no respect as you prowl. No respect for age, gender, societal or financial status. They bow to your powerful sting with sorrows, tears and disappointments.

When will your reign end? Oh king of medical catastrophe. When will your immunological manipulations seize? Oh great evader of the immune defences.

We will continue to contend with you. So long as we have intellectual monsters, even as you remain a medical monster till the day your end shall come

The greatest day in the history of mankind. An earnest expectation, your destruction. When we will recall our tragic losses to you, an era of scientific breakthrough
