What Is There To Be Astounded? Poem by Abdul Wahab

What Is There To Be Astounded?

Rating: 5.0

When I saw you first
I was astonished and astounded

Were you so wide or worthy
Or I was so narrow and empty?

Time, a teacher nonsense per excellence
Taught me a bit good things

Narrowed down the gaps
Evaporated all the surprise

The essence of wonder
Very slowly and bit by bit gone

The attractiveness waned
You are as meaningless

As I have in mine
nothing is there

to be astonished
and astounded
