(((West Twenty-Fifth Street))) Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

(((West Twenty-Fifth Street)))

Rating: 3.5

My address 'tis 41 West 25th Street-
I am living my dream in New York State...
'Tis my very own: 'Show Place'...
My 'Gracious Home'-my fate;

In my younger years i shopped-
For baby furniture and teen as well-
I would go next door to: 'Scneiders'
And i only bought the best that they had to sell;

Life in New York City can be quite hectic...
'Tis so easy to get caught in the fray...
In the Hub-Bub of this busy city...
But 'tis a city where: 'Samuel French Plays';

They say that the Big Apple 'tis so huge...
But really if you know where you're going- i disagree-
Actually we are closer than you think- darlin'-
Why even Newark 'tis close to me;

And it 'tis in The Garden State-
Been to 'Broad Street' before...
It t'was back in 2007-i do believe...
On Pearl Harbor Day you called me mon amour! ! ! ;
