Weight Of Your Heart Poem by Sandile mngadi.

Weight Of Your Heart

Just because when we met you were size 28
Does not mean when you wear size 38 after years we marry
I will not see you for what you are
Just because I can pick you to our bedroom anymore
Does not mean you must not pick up you spirit
I should not complement you of how you look
Just because we have 3 kids together and have stretch marks
Does not mean you are not attractive anymore
I should look else where
Truth is I knew that as years go by your body will change
Truth is I knew after having family you will concentrate more in being a mother and a wife to me
Rather than looking at yourself and your body
That journal you always write complaining that you don’t love yourself anymore
I ask you to close it
Start writing what a wonderful woman you are to me and my kids
Start writing how wonderful you are in your body
Start being proud of what you are
I lift you my spirit
I carry you always and where ever I go
I carry the most treasurable thing about you
I carry the size of your heart with me always
I carry the weight of your heart and what it has brought to me and the kids
I weighed you before marrying you and understood you were for me
Your weigh is growth within us not a weight to be ashamed off.
I Love you more than you can image
I am nothing without you and your input in my life
I choose right Heaven knows when I made you my wife
