We Travelled Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

We Travelled

Rating: 5.0

We travelled together into old age
Supporting, encouraging each other
Rejoiced seeing where eagles fly
Endangered wildlife running free
Crossed rivers, climbed mountains
Passed through strange mystical lands
Walked shadows in valley of despair
Lost the way in terrifying engulfing forests
Souls tormented and in misery
Forced our steps towards journey's end
Love keeping us moving ever forward
With promise to emerge joyful into the light.
