We Show Our Love Poem by Doris Clore Demaree

When Jesus wished to cross the lake
His friends agreed to row.
But in the night a storm came up
And rocked them to and fro.

'Shall we wake Jesus?' asked one friend.
'Not yet,' replied another.
But as they tried to row the boat
it filled up and up with water.

In fright they called, 'Jesus! Wake up!
We're sinking! We'll all drown!'
Jesus said, 'Peace.' Then wind was still.
The boat was safe. The waves calmed down.

We show our love by helping too,
By being kind in all we do.
