We Tell Others Poem by Doris Clore Demaree

We Tell Others

Long ago, Philip met a traveling man
Reading his Bible. 'Perhaps I can
Tell you what it means,' he said.
'Please do,' was the reply. So Philip read,
Then told how the prophet declared
God's Son would come, his love richly shared.
'And Jesus has come! I know him!' Philip said.
'He is alive, even though he was dead.'
'I believe in Jesus,' said the man who heard.
And joyfully went to tell friends of God's Word.

I'm glad Philip told the man long ago,
I'll tell of Jesus wherever I go.
