Daniel In The Den Of Lions Poem by Doris Clore Demaree

Daniel In The Den Of Lions

Whatever God wanted him to do,
Daniel did.
No matter
What harm might come to him.
His enemies wanted him killed.
'If any man prays to any other
Than the king,' they said,
'May he die.'
The king ruled it so.
But Daniel continued to pray
To God
Three times each day.
The king put him in the lions' den
To die.
But the lions did not bother him.
God kept him safe.
