We're Not Really Bad Guys Poem by Dean Meredith

We're Not Really Bad Guys

We're not really bad guys
We've just been socialized to be jerks
We are admittedly partly to blame
It's just the way that life works

Taught by our fathers and mothers
By our friends and shows on TV
Taught to honour and obey
Rebelling obstinately

Her secret wish
Was a commercial
Remembered surreptitiously
And her dish was a revival
Infamously starring me

Ok co-starring actually
Sharing the stage with she
Her boots standing to attention
Almost apocalyptically
