We Fell In Love Poem by Nathan Barkley

When we were in this room
I thought we were both doomed
To the same tragedy as before
Where love didn't exist anymore
But as the night began to fall to the floor
So did our protective shells.
As you and I ran our fingers over each other scars
We notice that both our eyes shined brighter than the stars.
And Then
We fell in love
We fell in love
How did this happen
Even death became shaken
From this surprising love that was supposed to be forsaken
