We Can Effort But Not Control Result Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Marriage is an acceptable
way to mate as said by sages
Its our norms as society set
All follow it and we become bait

One more obligation arise
To create and procreate
To see the race divide
To leave a replicate
After our silent retreat

Here some cases we forget
If God has written our fate
Fine adorned and straight
WHY....?
Some delay in their search
Start early but meet late
Few date but never wed
Few wed but can't consummate
Those who live together
Never bother to have kid
Many want to don parenthood
But their destiny don't suit

All such if's and but's
Kill the joy and sucks
Life has many ways where
we can aspire, work and cheer
Yet its filled with missions
that are beyond our vision
We can toil and effort, but
To control result will be a defeat
