We as humans, too many, flood the world
Draining resources, breeding without restraint.
Polluting as we establish ourselves
Creating deserts where rivers flowed, trees grew
Wildlife flourished without extinction's threat.
Burning forests, jungles, woodlands, without restraint
Towns and cities stifled with fumes from cars.
Trees, world's lungs, needed for life to survive
Destroying without the blue planet's future
Ending habitats of wildlife species forever.
Such insanity fuelling steady rise of global warming
Without sacrifices bringing temperatures down.
We as humans in greed are our own worst enemy
Allowing blue planet steadily destroyed.
