Watching Desert Landscapes Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Watching Desert Landscapes

Reverberating sounds teaching this mind how to move
and jive day in and day out, rallying into the midst
of a beautiful area of life right here.

Living in the Arizona desert where coyotes bay at the
moonand way up high, out of reach, yet being seen any-
way.

Bobcats roam around our neighborhood, see them off and
on, always being loved and touched by this Arizona
desert.

Coming and going, never disliking the colors that con-
tribute to our beautiful sunsets on our western horizon,
listening to the silence inspiring poetry.

Watching as landscapes stay the same for centuries, un-
less developers come along looking for a buck, tearing
apart our deserts for their greedy benefit only.
