Wandering Eyes Poem by Jae Elias

Wandering Eyes

Wandering eyes.
Looking everywhere, watching as this world slowly dies.
Beautiful and unique.
I’m mesmerized when you begin to speak.
Tired of what I see with these wandering eyes.
Annoyed of all the lies.
That is until you came into my sight.
Forgot of everything wrong and focused on what was right.
When we talk these wandering eyes see only you.
And when I hurt you’re the only one I go to.
My wandering eyes see that you’re beautiful inside & out.
When the world turns its back, I know you’ll be there without a doubt.
These wandering eyes only wish to see you.
