Walking The Dog Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Walking The Dog

Rating: 5.0

Free from lead dashing into woods
Seeking thrills, adventure, new smells
Tail wagging rushing through undergrowth
Sniffing scents of rabbits and fleet-footed deer
Cautious and wary confronting badgers
Returning swiftly for human protection.
Joyful and boisterous meeting other dogs
Friendly greetings, sniffing rear ends
Dashing away together into the trees
Barking with delight at being a dog.
