Walking In The Park Poem by Gail Grierson

Walking In The Park

Went walking just this morning,
Was thinking about you;
Wished that you were beside me
To walk a mile or two.

A breeze was blowing softly
As tender as a kiss,
As gentle as a hug from you,
Precisely what I miss.

I love to get your phone calls,
The highlight of my day;
Just wish that you were closer,
Not quite so far away.

For if we walked together,
I know we’d have some fun;
Two can be quite happy,
Much happier than one.

Gail, a nice breezy write with thoughts drifting to those far away... it felt like a walk in the park. Well done!
