If I Tell You Poem by Gail Grierson

If I Tell You

If I tell you how I’m feeling,
Will you tell me honestly?
If my heart sends out a message,
Will yours send one back to me?

If this love I feel for you is real,
I hope you feel it, too,
And when we meet again someday,
We’ll know if it is true.

I’ll say “I love you” to your face
And hope that we will find
That tenderness and love grow best
With friendship intertwined.

If love is paired with friendship,
I would hope that we can be
The best of friends and lovers, too,
It means that much to me.

Though LOVE is not a thing of the mouth but of the heart. And when expressed with curresponding emotion, it give is a better shape.
