Waking Silently Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Waking Silently

Silently I wake from nightmares of sleep, disturbed
about what events have taken place.
Sleepily, I walk into the day's events, not caring
to know ahead of time what they will become.
Standing back, waiting for ocean waves of remorse
to take and pick me up, sending me floating to
distant surroundings where I can be content with
myself.
