Wake Up Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Wake Up

Blame not
If you are caught
Between fortune
And misfortune

Think seriously
And answer readily
"What was yours"?
That you consider as loss

"It was never yours" the legend says
It was temporary offer
You did not utilize
You even did not oblige

You remained arrogant
And totally absent
To the cause of poor
And now find exit door

It is on down swing
That makes you to sing
In disgrace
With sullen face

Wake up and rise
It may spring surprise
You may be same again
With all smiles sans pain
