Wake Me Up Poem by Jacob macharia

Wake Me Up

Rating: 4.5

Wake me up when it’s all over,
When my guts fall low,
When my vow surpasses,
When my intimacy rebounds,
With my inferiority overwhelming.
Wake me up;
When my trebling feet can't stand the weight,
When my troubled heart can't take anymore,
When my untamed heart goes astray,
When my watery mouth can't utter a word,
When my soul can’t fathom the positives and,
When my queer immodesty takes the lead.
Wake me up;
When no one else cares about my wake,
When my ultimate results matters more than the process itself,
When my meagre efforts are least appreciated,
When all seems uphill without a near downhill, and
When all my grounds seem slippery.
Wake me up;
And never let me fall again,
Take responsibility and be my crutch when I can’t walk,
Be the hope-voice that i wish to hear anytime I stumble,
Though i know it's hard to ever follow me,
Just persist and you will see me through, and
When all is done, you will forever be deeply cherished, for
Waking me up.

I loved this one. It builds a mood. A nice, creative and artistic mood.
