Voyage Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Voyage

Rating: 5.0

(dedicated to a poet friend at poemhunter, Carrie Sprouse)

Red cat walks through rainbow
There is a golden coat hanging
Who is talking to Winter Wind?
You cries softly in a twilight room
Without a lonely boat, a lonely hope
That North Sea is surely empty

(inspired by Iron Maiden’s Aces High)

Your poem is very picturesque with color, sensory sensations, and motion which makes it interesting to read. Yet, it is also very abstract which makes the reader search for meanings. I need to read Carie Sprouse’s Iron Maiden’s Aces High.
