Victory tower

Everybody is well determined
his or her role is defined
but how many are destined to reach
the goal and give an earnest call

the cities were built either by invaders 
or local rulers
to commemorate their victory 
or create a new history

Yes, it is our duty to protect
and in fact
recreate the historical links
with the preservance of the old

it not only makes us proud
and we say it loud
that even though it was the rule of slavery
we have maintained its legacy

neither they could destroy our cultural link
nor bury or sink the old traditions
we are where we were 
and boldly say it clear
