Victims Of A Long Lost Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Victims Of A Long Lost Love

Drifting along oceans of rhythms, rising and falling in time
with easy going tempos, strolling along memory land, finding
hidden treasures of the past.

Being reminded of those heartfelt feelings and emotions of
younger years when we were together and dating, it's been so
long now since we've seen each other.

Our hearts never having separated, talking long distance all
through the years, each of us thinking of those glorious days,
wondering why we ever parted ways.

Feeling a thrill of joy whenever talking on the phone, realiz-
ing that we are both victims of a long lost love, not knowing
if we can resurrect the past or not, just wishing to do it.
