Uphill Climb Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Uphill Climb

Chugging down dance floors, trying out new steps,
trying to be precise and not quite making it.
Looking around, feeling pleased with the atmosphere
and environment.
Sustaining a lively excitement inside, holding it
closely, saving it for a rainy day when I am lonely
and need to remember it's joy.
Shining momentum, picturing new visions on an uphill
climb towards a final sunset.
