Unexpectedly Poem by Cindy Rheeder

Unexpectedly

Here you are unexpectedly,
Smiling your million dollar smile,
And smelling so damn define,
My head’s a mess,
And you’ve been running amok in there again,
My heart convulses as you say my name,
And I give you a goofy-toothy smile,
I promise I didn’t fall for you,
But I think you might have tripped me.
My breath hitches as you smile at me,
Everything’s a mess whenever you’re around.
Here you are unexpectedly,
Steeling my heart with those hazel eyes,
And you causing havoc to my fragile heart,
My pulse quickens as you sit next to me,
And I feel myself losing control over a silly blush,
I promise I didn’t fall for you,
But I swear you must have tripped me.
