This Lost Poem by Cindy Rheeder

This Lost

Don’t say my name the way you do,
And stop looking at me that way,
Stop making my heart convulse,
Stop making me feel this way,
I’ve never felt this lost before,
All the walls are caving in,
Al the doors are slamming shut,
And all I want to do is sit here and cry,
Cause I’ve never felt this damned before,
All emotions are closing in,
I feel so empty inside,
My hearts a mess
And my mind’s a muddle,
And I wish I could just run and hide,
But lately I can’t make my heart beat steady.
Stop saying my name the way you do,
And don’t look at me in that way,
Stop making me blush,
And stop making me feel this way,
Because I’ve never felt this lost before,
All the walls are caving in,
All the doors are slamming shut
And all I want to do is die,
Because I’ve never felt so alone before,
I’ve never felt this lost before.
