Under Pressure From The Heat Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Under Pressure From The Heat

Forced to face insecurities.
Endured to smother and cover up.
Hoping them left unrevealed.
Or displayed to others,
Sooner or later to discover.
Today has few escaping,
From immature decisions made.
By those making excuses,
Their choices to choose...
Were forgettable mistakes.
That should not cause,
Anyone complaining.
Declaring they suffer,
Disappointing heartaches.

Even though affected are lives,
Depending upon the mental state of mind.
To find too late,
They have been tricked.
Deceived and entertained until blind.
By emotionally irresponsible children.
Blaming others who expect,
Not tantrums thrown to scrutinize.
But a credible accountability.
Taken to prove this can be done.
Whether under pressure from the heat.
Or the temperature of it,
To face and not from it to run.

"Uh...
Where are you and the others going? "

-It is getting too hot.
The humidity is steaming.
And we are leaving.
Until the temperature drops.
Or the humidity applied upon us stops! -

"That is totally irresponsible.
Incredibly immature."

-And...
The point you are attempting to make?
Is what? -

"But...
We elected you all,
To provide us with leadership."

-LOLOLOL.
Stop it.
You 'wanna bee' comedians,
Are everywhere these days.
Leadership?
That's too funny.-
