U Hold The Key Poem by angel lockheart

U Hold The Key

I’m just your average girl,
I see the colors in this world,
I’m not trying to stand out,
There’s no reason for me to shout;
I’m different, I am me,
There’s a whole new world inside to see,
I’m trying to let it out,
But I can’t,
You hold the key.

I aid the depressed friend,
I try to let them in,
In to this magic world,
Where everything is right,
Everything is picture perfect,
Individuals at their best;
I’m different, I am me,
There’s a whole new world inside to see,
I’m trying to let it out,
But I can’t,
You hold the key.

A different type of talk,
A different role to play,
My behavior is always changing,
Each and everyday,
Why do they care what others think?
They’ll only gain full control,
And soon they’ll find their world spiraling,
Way out of their control;
I’m different, I am me,
There’s a whole new world inside to see,
I’m trying to let it out,
But I can’t,
You hold the key.

I am changing day to day,
I never really stay the same,
A different look,
A different style,
A different book,
This list could go on for miles;
I’m different, I am me,
There’s a whole new world inside to see,
I’m trying to let it out,
But I can’t,
You hold the key.

Who wants to follow the replicas?
In each and every trend,
Why don’t you make your own?
You’ll find yourself inventing,
An entire new song,
Different notes,
Different rhythms,
Different melodies,
Different rhymes,
Your mark on this old world,
A finger print left behind because;
You are different, you are you,
There’s a whole new world if you just take a look,
You’re trying to let it out,
& you can,
You hold the key.
