Trying To Get To Me Is A Lost Cause Poem by Katelin Taylor

Trying To Get To Me Is A Lost Cause

Rating: 4.8

Tell me; are you ready for the backfire?
Are you set to watch your work go down in flames?
Really, did you plan for what is coming
When you tried to slander my good name?

You're messing with a girl that won't be taken
Down with simple words and lies and hate
You're playing with a fire that never burns out
You're trying to destroy a written fate.

You do not play a game with the game master
You cannot dry out water with a hose
So really, dare you fight for a lost cause here?
You'll never get to me; inside you know.

You're warring an impossible encounter
A battle that's long over, don't you see?
I'm high above your juvenile endeavors
You lost the moment you chose war with me.
