Try To Leave It Poem by Jessie Jett

Try To Leave It

I leave it, I try.
Stays in rememberance,
I don't know why.
I feel it,
Then I let it go.
But some how, it seeps in.
Reminding me, I know.
I leave it, I try.
Recollection is so easy to find.
To find nor to seek.
Attempting to bury it deep.
I don't know why.
I feel it,
Then I let go.
The fondness of a calm mind.
Detracting away.
Recollection of an uneasy soul.
To find nor to seek.
The battle keeps tempting me.
I don't know why.
I leave it, I try.
I feel it.
But some how, away with the wind;
It draws out, and lingers within.
To try I must,
Making it sink further in.
As soon as it starts,
How should I begin?
That angel face,
Pleasantly can lay right in place.
But some how it seeps in.
The ripping and burning.
Smiles slightly turning.
The stomach doing a massive churning.
It is truley hurting.
Recollection,
Stop the worrying.
I don't know why.
I leave it, I try.
I feel it,
Then I let it go.
But some how it seeps in,
Reminding me; I know.
