Too strong a bond
To let it go
Realising and accepting
Our differing flaws
Missing each other
And our quirky ways
Was hard to continue
Our seperate ways
To follow our hearts
Was the only way
Intuition never
Does you wrong
Laying foundations
Makes a heart sing
Together our song
Paved the way
Our special connection
now brings us close
To what we aspire to
And what we will be
Our intimate partnership
And mental compatibility
Brings Romance and friendship
In to play
Emotion and passion
Sparks our match
Sexual fulfilment
Keeps us satisfied
Laughter and fun
Keeps us engaged
Appreciative lovers
Pleasure we take
Balancing friendship
With romance
Allows us both
A second chance
We finally see
Just what it takes
To unconditionally love
And up the stakes
We tried the alternative
Long lonely weeks
The sadness that hugged us
Thankfully made us see
A life without you
We could not bear
Happiness would not find us
Until both were near
Two happy hearts
Together again
