Truth Can Be Offensive Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Truth Can Be Offensive

When the glass is full, its contents spill over.
That is just simple cause and effect.
When people are pushed too far, let's remember
They will fight back in ways we won't expect.

Most governments forget they're there to serve,
Not to boss around and to dictate the rules.
The people who voted will demand what they deserve
The governed will not be slaves or treated like fools.

Truth can be offensive but can never be hidden
It has a way of coming out and spilling over.
The majority may be silent but they're thinking men-
People know when something's wrong, when there is danger.

So when violence erupts, better check the roots.
There could be some unrest simmering underneath.
To every cause there's effect, what's planted bears fruit:
Evil comes back when people sow with deceit.

I agree dear Poet. The sinners and the naysayers will be caught one day. Powerful words shared. I liked every one.
