Trust My Knight In Shining Armor Poem by Anna Ragin

Trust My Knight In Shining Armor

My tower as tall as my fears
Rising high with mistakes over time
I am trapped at the top
With no way down
I am no Rapunzel, no Sleeping Beauty, no Snow White
I must make my own path
On my own

No prince charming to slay my dragon
No Romeo to sweep me off my feet.

Where are you my knight in shining armor?
Alli have is a window.
Watching the world around
Seeing those who come.
They try to save me but fail
My dragon is my rage
Ther never make it that far.
They only sometimes get to my window

'Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair! '
May I kiss you awake fair beatry...
No
This is not the words of my prince
Do I even have one?
I will not answer to these calls

My hope is leaving
I need a way out

A voice calling out to me
'Trust' is all I hear
A beautiful voice
He has come for me
No more waiting
'Trust' I call to him
And fall to my knight in Shining armor
