Finally Poem by Anna Ragin

Finally

The world around us
So oblivious
Never seems to get the picture

It’s a massive massacre
And I can’t find the cure
To show them what’s right to me

Don’t they see the pain
That over us reins
Controlling the minds of those fallen victim

To the words so hurtful
I can’t get over you
I’ve fallen captive to your cruelty

Trapped in an hour glass
My time running out
I’m trying to scream and to shout

But someone saves me
Like nothing I’ve seen
And he is unlike the world around

Kind and caring
Loving and fair
Things I have yet to see

His actions speak louder than the words that caused me confusion and pain
And from him I’ve got no limitations

To gain the new words I need
To show the world their wrongs
And at last will I belong
