True Love Never Dies Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

True Love Never Dies

Rating: 4.8

The day he looked into her eyes he knew
The day they meet, he could tell how much she'll be a trouble
But no matter what he'll always still love her when she can't love herself
He stayed through the bad and good times
Stayed when she started to push him away
Stayed even when it started to kill him
But she was his heart
And he couldn't watch his heart walk away
The love that runs deep in his veins
Never died
Never faltered
The connection to her was stronger than any other

She saw him and was nervous
Missing him every day, every hour and ever second
She pushed him away because she was in fear
Fear of hurting him
She never realize that she was his heart
His most precious possession
Her suicidal thoughts and action hurt him more than her
The cutting she does, kills him more
The depression she goes through, he wishes he could take it away
He wishes he could take it all away
His heart doesn't need to suffer through all that
But it needs to learn to open the road to love
To let true love in
True love never dies

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
someone i pushed away for two years straight, and all of a sudden i seen someone at a retreat i was at and reminded me off him. i started to miss him so much, we did a video call and i realized i still loved him, i gave him a quote; one of my favorite ones.
'And he sudden knew that if she killed herself he would die. maybe not immediately maybe not with the same blinding rush of pain but it would happen. you couldn't live very long with a heart Jodi picult.'

Love is a spiritual experience that affects those who love profoundly. I concur with your conviction that true love never die. A beautiful narrative love poem, well articulated and nicely penned with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
