True Love Poem by Ontomu William

True Love

Sometimes I wonder, what will I ever do
For me to remain happy forever?
Though I get all the things I have longed for
For years, I still find myself
Slowly veering into this lonely road
With burning thoughts
And tears that so slowly flow
In secret down my throat
Reminding me of the deep wound
Within.
I am left with the impression that
One can ne'er be happy forever, in this
Forlorn world, where loved ones betray
Loved ones. Where loved ones without
Consent are taken away unconditionally
Ne'er to return
A world where brother betrays sister
And father and mother follow suit
And each make each cry defying nature
I am left with the assurance that
True happiness only rests in eternity
In a world you cannot behold or understand

God only is able to give me the peace
That I need
Money and love will ne'er give me
What I need most
They can ne'er buy me inner peace
When I cry, let me shed tears
Tears of Joy for my Lord
For his mercy and love
They endure forever
This world has a love
Conjuring but for a while
Then, it's no more!
But true love stems from eternity
To eternity
In divine love, agape love
You will never go wrong
For this is the true love
Love that bears the true emblem
The true meaning of Love
Love of God for humanity
Love of death and life
Forevermore.
