Bitter Love Poem by Ontomu William

Bitter Love

How did I get into this?
I hold a grudge against you my eyes!
I hold eternal grudge against you my heart!
And the rest of me
For this fire that ever burns
A consuming fire that glows

Daily for eternity
It breaks even fraternity
And knows no vanity
I will forever lament
Against my conscience

I accuse my patience
For letting me burn
In this fire of brimstone
Self-lit and self-plunged
Arousing asphyxia
It hurts daily
And the blisters get worse

These Red hot blisters
Which I love most
They remind me of my love
Without retaliation
As I swim through the fire
Which I love most

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
you see, we love.but the ones we love will rarely love back, so we groan with pain and hurting. We just let this happen to us because we love it that way, to love is unconditional, so if you have to love you gotta be ready to cry
