True Diamond
The strength to
Stand up and stand
Out is one
Seldom found in
A person's soul,
But in a heart
That is free it is common
Tiffany, this is good enough. But you may need to build up more image on strenght to stand up and stand out. What examples on situations that one has to stand up and stand out. Poems are built on images on things which are real and concrete. The same thing with a heart that is free. When do you say that a heart is free. What image or images can you describe to bring out a portrait of that description. Writing poems is just like painting. You need to build up colours and images to bring about unity. Your poem as it is good enough but if you want it to be more powerful, you have to build up images: symbolical, metaphorical, concrete or narrative, ... This is just a suggestion, dear. Take care.

To be who you are and stand on your own can be a hard thing to accomplish at times. Very meaningful poem.
