Treasured Memories Poem by Marilyn Lott

Treasured Memories

Rating: 4.5

It seems that since I turned older
So many loved ones I have lost
My mom and dad have long vanished
My brother died at such a cost.

My aunts and uncles gone as well
What a party it could be
I wonder when I will join them
When this too will happen to me.

I open up my photo book
And the one that's in my mind
Memories, oh, so many there are
And they are all that is left behind.

But it is okay, my friend, it truly is
God planned it all that way
We are lucky to bring up memories
That we can treasure every single day.

Oh, so nice a poem, to read, to recite and to think about! Loved it. It would be nice if you had mentioned who are there in the photo. Are you there in it, too?

Khairul, I am the baby. I wrote the poem for a webpage that belonged to someone else. I wrote for this man for 11 years. Now, I post on facebook and find pictures to go with the poems. Which is why there are no names in the poem. I am so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for you kind comment.
