Tower Of Execution Poem by Justin Gildow

Tower Of Execution

Rating: 5.0

In the tower of execution
I look all around
And lava has filled this place
The heat is cranked up immensely
Blades and spikes are moving, coming,
swinging, and going in patterns
And small sinking platforms are littered
throughout

Running along
And jumping carefully
From platform to platform
In this tower, I see the constant dangers all
around

Making my way, safely
The best way I can
I'm running along
Level by level

Some skeletons and charmed weaponry
come to do battle with me
But I defeat them all with the help of my
mystical weapons

Seeing a destroyed building in the middle
of the lava
I see a weapon that will help me
I throw some holy water through the air
Seeing it splash on an invisible walkway
I throw some more vials of holy water to coat
the walkway
With the pathway somewhat visible
I walk down to claim my prize
Which is another weapon
On top of the crumbling building

After claiming another weapon
I jog back up to the ledge where I once was
Only now seeing 2 skeletons waiting for me
I dispatch both of them very quickly

On my final trek through the tower of execution
I notice iron balls falling into the lava pool
Causing lava to splash everywhere

Paying careful attention
When the iron ball finally sinks and the lava has
stopped splashing all around
I run like mad when the coast is clear
Running and leaping to save my own life
I bypass that difficult section in the tower of
execution
And I'm still alive

Lastly
Before I can leave the tower of execution
I must run and duck past the falling, moving,
and swinging blades

One by one
I pass by each of them

The exit is in front of me
A light is shining from the exit
Running through the door
I count my blessings that I've made it through
the tower of execution
Because I know it wasn't easy
But I survived it
And I'm still alive
Worn out and tired
But still alive
