Tough Girl Poem by Vanessa Phiri

Tough Girl

Rating: 4.5

I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth so i have to work for whatever i get.......
I have issues too, and sometimes i cry myself to sleep & my pillow is the only shoulder that i have to lean on..But i can't let it show, i can't let anyone know so i hide it all behind my smile
.......

First girl in the family and elder sister to two young girls so I'm expected to live an exemplary life. I have to live right otherwise i will mislead these two innocent souls......

Things dont always turn up the way i plan them, but i dont just give up. I give it another shot. I keep trying until i succeed.......
Sometimes life seems so hard. But that's not a reason enough for me to stop living. I make lemonade out of all the lemons that life throws at me... And i build a wall with the very stones that are thrown at me........

Am a girl, and i know i have to stay STRONG.
I have to keep my head up always.
I have to stay confident and unbreakable.
I have to be TOUGH
