Sometimes being tough is all a girls got
Running, hiding, fighting, crying
Goes out once you've hardened
Emotion gone
Compassion vanished
Love faded
Sticking it out
Picking yourself up when you fall
Taking what comes at you
When every door slams in your face
And the storm starts
You stand straight up
Taking every bolt of lightning
Finding your way around in a dark corner
Never asking for a hand
Never trusting
Never letting anybody in
Like it was said before
