Today... 'Jesus Of Nazareth' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'Jesus Of Nazareth'

The Prophet they put to death
was Jesus of Nazareth.
For they had Him crucified
and upon the cross He died.

This Jesus of Nazareth
Cried 'Forgive' with His last breath
And then bowing His head
Entered the realms of the dead

But Jesus of Nazareth
then burst through the gates of Death
For He was the Promised One
God's Only Belovèd Son.

Now Jesus of Nazareth
has conquered Sin and Death.
He has risen from the grave
with mighty power to save.

Acts 2: 22: 24—22
'Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God's deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting a glorious
aspect of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'Jesus of Nazareth'
